Is there such a thing as too late? I'm not quick to let guys in, but for some strange reason there was one guy who just bounded over my walls. I really liked him, but our values were very different. I'd been through a similar situation before, and was left incredibly heartbroken.  I broke it off rather quickly, and wished I had acted differently. I tried to reach out to him ag... Read more...

Nothing but Frustration Shutterstock_85566982 My girlfriend and I have been on and off for over a year now. I feel like I've given her more chances than she deserves, and every time I've tried to break up with her, I can't resist and forgive her. My emotions about her are so mixed when it comes to her I don't know which way is up. She's the cutest and sweetest girl I've ever met, and she... Read more...

Rachel R. There's a fine line between love and hate--but I don't have to tell you that. Sounds like you are in a very frustrating situation. I don't know that she can change her personality--some things may be too ingrained in who she is. I do know that if she can change it has to come from her wanting to. You can't force her to change. If you have a child with her, you'll always be tied to her. So she either has to change or you have to change your attitude and accept her as she is or you'll all just be miserable.

  • whimsyofemily I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest that you two are not compatible. If you "feel like you've given her more chances than she deserves," that is a relationship ender in my book. What does she do that pisses you off? Are you two still pissing each other off in the same way or has that evolved over time? Why do you keep taking her back when you're in what sounds like a toxic relationship together? Only you can answer these questions. Consider contacting an attorney if she is pregnant with your child. It is always much better to know your rights, and options before you have a child bouncing around.

How many straws does it take to break a camels back? Shutterstock_194794 I am divorced after many years of marriage.  We began having difficulty about 10 to 12 years into things, or so I believed.  Around that time, my now ex met this woman with whom he fell in love/lust with.  He left me for her.  She proceeded to take him to the cleaners, use him for every penny he had and didn't have and then dumped him.  He c... The law of elasticity 0 My friend Caitlin shared with me her latest dating scenario the other day.  She was really very perplexed and without a clue as to what went wrong.  Here is what happened. Caitlin went to a concert to see one of her favorite bands. While walking up the stairs to the balcony for a better view, she passed a really cute guy. She caught his eye, s... Read more...
Love's Labels Lost 0 Girlfriend, partner, wife, friend, dating, seeing, hanging with, fooling with, banging (not a favourite); these are all labels that mean different things to different people, but that said, how much do we need these labels, what do they mean and what do they broadcast to the outside world? From a street voxpop in Toronto, it appears “dating” ... Read more...
Modern Day Mate, or Simply a Cheapskate? 0 Amber had always believed in the feminist cause - at school, while we politely froze to death in our knee length skirts, she campaigned for the right for girls to wear trousers, which for us, seemed pretty radical and in our eyes, akin to taking a match to her bra, or throwing herself under the King's carriage suffragette style.  Equal rights, ... What's Your Number? 0 Back in college, I knew this girl Lauren. Lauren was known for her reputation, and it wasn't a good one. She was beautiful, outgoing and a lot of fun.  Unfortunately that wasn't all that she was known for.  Lauren was also known as the campus "bike”. I watched her go home with different guys almost every weekend, but I figured that this was coll... Read more...
Diagnosis: Dump 0 Elaine's crush had a psychiatrist. One he didn't hire, or even know about. This psychiatrist was Elaine. They had been dating for a couple of months, and in that time Drew The Crush had exhibited some pretty inconsistent behaviour. One minute, he would be staring deep into Elaine's eyes, professing a connection like no other. The next, he would... Read more...
  • Rissa Bee I think its a waste of time trying to figure out ”what's wrong with him.” I have a theory that even the worst player will treat a women right if she happens to be the right one. In this case she just wasn't
