Why would someone respond to a request for feedback?
Who will see the provided feedback?
I don’t have my date’s email address. Can I just send the request via SMS?
What if I want to give feedback to someone who hasn’t requested it?
Why can’t I send a request to this person? It says they have unsubscribed.
Why would someone respond to a request for feedback?
Aside from altruistic motives, WotWentWrong entices feedback in the following ways:
- We provide request letter templates that help you to compose a letter to your date that they will be more likely to respond to.
- We ask you to answer a set of ratings questions that act as a teaser for your date. We entice your date to provide you with feedback in return for them being able to view your answers to these ratings questions.

Who will see the provided feedback?
Only the parties that are involved in the feedback request/response will be able to see this feedback and any ratings questions. We may use some of this info in our anonymous statistics, but it will never be connected to your name, and will never be posted on your facebook feed.

I don’t have my date’s email address. Can I just send the request via SMS?
Yes, you can. However, you have a better chance of a response from your date if you send them an email. If you don’t know their email address, you may be able to find it on their facebook profile. Just go to the "Info" section on their profile and look under their Contact information. You can use either the email address they have listed or their facebook email address.

Who is a part of the WotWentWrong community?
It's a diverse, global community comprised of women and men who generously share their advice and graciously receive it.
Back to topBut I'm not a dating expert....
You don't have to be. If you know a little about how hard it is to find love, you're sure to have something to share. Create a blog post about your very first love or offer your sympathies to a lovelorn community member. Why must dating be a lonely experience?
Back to topWhat kind of things do I share in WotWentWrong Impressions?
Express your thoughts and feelings about your dating life (past, present and future) or just love in general. You can feel free to share openly as your profile is anonymous - don't hold back! Facebook and Twitter are great but are just too public; you can feel safe to blog about your relationships here.
Back to topHow do I add an image to my profile?
That's easy. Select the "Settings" menu item on the top menu bar and either choose an image from our library or upload your own.
Back to topHey, I noticed that I can attach an image to my profile. I thought Impressions was anonymous!
Yes, the Impressions feature is anonymous so we give you a whole library of images for your profile picture. Best not to use an actual photo of you if you want to remain anonymous!
Back to topI want to keep updated on someone's relationship. How do I do that?
That's easy. Just click on the "follow" button on their page and we'll let you know when they have shared a new update.
Back to topWhat are these positive and negative impressions?
They are an opportunity for you to be honest with yourself and note things you like and don't like about your new relationship. This may change over time, so feel free to add and remove these items as your understanding of them evolves. Select from our list of predefined qualities, or add one of your own!
Back to topHow do I make sure my post gets seen?
All new posts will appear on the "New" Page. The more people that like and comment on your post, the more likely it is to appear on the home page. A few tactics to try: follow people's blogs who are similar to you and they might return the favor and receive your updates as well. Offer helpful and advice on other posts too! Add some tags to your post so people searching on a particular topic can find your post.
Back to topHow do I get my relationship to show higher up in the home page?
The more blog posts, milestones, and positive and negative impressions you add to your relationships, the higher up it will show in the home page. Get cracking!
Back to topDoes it matter if my post has no tags?
Your post is fine without tags but adding them will increase the likelihood of people seeing your post.
Back to topWhat is the difference between "Timeline", "Relationships", and "Other Posts"?
"Timeline" is the full set of your activities on WotWentWrong, in reverse chronological order, with the most recent activity showing first.
"Relationships" is where you add events, thoughts and feelings and shows your activity specific to one of your dating prospects.
"Other Posts" shows any blog entries intended for the whole community, not related to a specific relationship.
I noticed you have poll functionality in each post. Do I have to create a poll for each post? What should I ask?
It's the best way to solicit the WotWentWrong community for advice. If you have a dating dilemma, try including a poll in your post and see what the community thinks you should do!
Back to topI saw that someone posted something offensive. What should I do?
Report it by simply clicking the "Report Post" button and we will take it from there!
