I've been talking to a guy I met on a dating site whom I'll refer to as Mr. Writer. We've been communicating via txt msg and occasional phone calls which have lasted hours. It has mainly been an exchange of creative ideas but we always seem to have something to talk about. I find our conversations to be really stimulating but I've had these kinds of connections with people before so it's not something to get too excited about.. 

But through our conversation, I tried to decipher whether he's anything like the man I image myself to find. I came to the conclusion that it's not about him and how awesome he could potentially be but that I'm just not romantically receptive to anyone.

So finally we decided to meet the other day and I had no expectations. He told me he was bringing a friend of his from out of town which I was cool with. We met near a subway station where I greeted Mr. Writer with a hug and his friend, who looked like a hipster - full beard, skinny pants and stylish hat - with a handshake.

It appears Mr. Writer fits what I'm physically looking for in a guy yet I was more attracted to his dirty blonde, blue eyed friend. There was definitely something about Mr. Hipster that reminded me a lot of Mr. Musician and when I found out that he too was a musician, I couldn't help but feel a crush developing. So all three of us spent hours talking at a bar over wine (some of which they brought in a flask) and it seems that I share similar views as Mr. Hipster. 

Just when I thought I wasn't romantically receptive to anyone, Mr. Hipster some how chiseled his way into my heart. I have a crush on this guy but I'm still in defense mode and only see it as a fleeting attraction. We didn't exchange contact info so I don't expect this to go anywhere.
